Facing Challenges 2025 Fall Retreat recordings

Nov 17, 2025 | Retreat Resources

This retreat is an invitation to turn toward, rather than away from, the challenges of our lives. For it is through meeting difficulty that we learn, grow, and deepen. The obstacles on our path are not barriers—they are the very stones that pave the way to wisdom and compassion.

GesheLa

Our teacher, Geshe Yong Dong, has walked through many trials in his life. He will share practices rooted in the Bon Buddhist tradition—meditation, mindful breathing, and the cultivation of loving-kindness—that have given him the resilience to meet life’s uncertainty with steadiness and grace.

Breathing courage, walking in compassion.

Together, we will create a space of trust and compassion, where we can speak openly of the challenges we face, and discover that we are not alone. Through shared practice and reflection, we will learn to welcome life as it comes—each breath a moment of courage, each step an act of compassion.
