Embody the Wisdom Loving Mother

Sherab Chamma means “wisdom loving mother”. She is known as the mother of all buddhas and mother of all living beings. She manifests in many forms and has many names. The Heart Drops of Sherab Chamma is a prayer or invocation to the essence of all these forms that live embodied within us. The purpose of this prayer is to open our hearts to bring in the qualities of compassion and wisdom that Sherab Chamma represents.

Heart drops of love and wisdom

Traditionally this sacred teaching and practice has been used for centuries to protect and heal oneself and others from any negative thoughts and experiences. Heart Drops refers to the dropping of each emanation of her wisdom into the heart space and then transforming each part of the practitioner’s body into an aspect of Sherab Chamma. In this way, one’s entire body becomes the enlightened mandala of the Loving Mother. Through practice we connect with our wise capacity to love and care unconditionally for one another and for ourselves. Practiced regularly it has the capacity to be deeply transforming as we recognize the qualities of the wisdom loving mother that live within us from beginningless time.

Healing our self and our world

On this retreat we will learn and practice various methods including mantras, visualizations and meditation, to bring balance and blessings to our daily lives. These days we face many challenges, both on the worldly and personal level, that can become overwhelming. The Heart Drops of Sherab Chamma is a practice that empowers us to connect with an eternal source of peace and harmony that lives within our own hearts, to heal and transform ourselves and the world around us.

We look forward to welcoming Shudup Khen Rinpoche, an Abbot and Tibetan Bon teacher who will be visiting from India to guide us on this retreat. We also look forward to welcoming everyone who attends this retreat, in person and on zoom!  

The Text

We will be following the text “Heartdrop of Jamma”, a translation from the original Tibetan by Raven Cypress wood. The text is provided for all who are attending in person. For those joining on zoom it can be ordered from Lulu .
