Building Our Centre

After two decades, Sherab Chamma Ling is more than a society – it is a spiritual home in the Pacific Northwest for practitioners of the Yungdrung Bön Buddhist Tradition from around the world.

Our Mission

The purpose of the Tibetan Bon Buddhist Society is to support our teachers and make available the wisdom of the indigenous Bon Buddhist traditions of Tibet through in-person and online gatherings. All are welcome to join in meditation and teachings to help relieve the suffering of one’s self and all living beings.

Tuesday Night Gatherings

GesheLa will be guiding our Tuesday night sessions, whenever possible.

WE ARE TAKING A BREAK for summer and will be back Sept.15 at the House of Now, 536A Fifth St. Courtenay B.C.

Sound Baths

A Tibetan singing bowl sound bath is a meditative experience where participants lie down and listen to the sounds produced by singing bowls, which are made of metal and create harmonic tones when struck or circled with a mallet. The vibrations and sounds promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance mindfulness.

Retreats

We host a two day retreat in the spring and the fall.  Led by Geshe YongDong Losar (Geshela) is a Tibetan Bön lama, or spiritual teacher, in the Yungdrung Bön lineage, which is rooted in the indigenous spiritual tradition of the Himalayas.

Workshops

These are one day events where we explore different topics related to spiritual practice and healing. Workshops are available to attend on zoom or in person.
